Beyond Side A + B

How To Dress Well – Words I Don’t Remember

How To Dress Well aka R&B dude Tom Krell dropped a new song today, “Words I Don’t Remember.” I don’t know how I never made the connection before, but him and BANKS have similarities in their style of soft, sensual R&B music. And of course, they borrow from The Weeknd‘s style, most notably the House of Balloons mixtape. Anywho, this new track isn’t just sung falsetto which is nice – I do love his falsetto but it’s nice to hear him go into his lower range too – dude’s got a nice voice overall of course. Cop the track on iTunes.

BADBADNOTGOOD – Can’t Leave The Night

If you haven’t heard of BADBADNOTGOOD, they’re a trio of professionally trained jazz musicians who know how to make your head bob. III is their first proper studio release due out May 6th. The first track we get from it is, “Can’t Leave The Night.” It’s rhodes piano, bass, and drums — it may not sound like much reading the description out like that but soon as you press play you’ll see that’s all these dudes need to make it work. They’re masters at their craft with obvious hip-hop influences.

Christopher Owens – It Comes Back To You

It’s always a pleasure when Christopher Owens returns with new material. I love the organs, the harmonies, and that female singer in the background. Relax yourself to this one: “It Comes Back To You.”

Saint Pepsi – Gin City EP

Saint Pepsi says his new Gin City EP is the best thing he’s ever done in his life. You might be thinking that’s a lot of over-hype, but then you hear the tracks and you fall in love. This release makes me appreciate where music stands today — sampling multiple tracks while blending in original ideas — the finished product is always exciting. How do you even classify this type of music? Does it matter? Nope. Just listen, love it, and tell your friends. Download now!

FKA twigs + inc. – FKA x inc.

Here’s a collab that’s been teased to us for awhile now on social media. FKA twigs and inc. have teamed up to give us, “FKA x inc.” The project seems to be of the same name — perhaps more is on the way? It’s a very fitting project with both of the delicate vocals they bring on top the of the slow, intimate music so I hope it’s not just a one-off song. Head on over to iTunes to purchase this body-rollin’, sex joint now and also pre-order the 7″ and zine.
